One thing we make a regular habit of at Destination is serving our community. We desire to play our part in helping make the city of Chicago a better place for everyone to live. We also desire to share the gospel through being Jesus’ hands and feet in the community. One specific place where we’ve completed several projects is Hamilton Elementary School.

We set up regular serving times with them and many just jump in and make a difference. As we invest our time with this serving project we can once again be a blessing to our community and express the heart of the gospel.

Some of our recent serving events have included writing notes of encouragement to a specific teacher and sponsoring a teacher with a donation that goes towards an appreciation bag for that teacher. We also work hands-on at the school with outdoor clean up and indoor projects such as re-painting walls, cleaning, organizing, and setting up tables for the science lab.
