3 Ways To Give At Destination: Online | Sundays | Automated

Biblical Giving

2 Corinthians 9:6-7 “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Acts 20:35b “… remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Deuteronomy 8:17-18Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’ You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth.”

Malachi 3:8 & 10 “Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions. Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.”

2 Corinthians 8:2-5 “for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord, begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints— and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us.”

Luke 21:1-4 “Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”

Destination Church is supported by the giving of it’s attenders. Participating in financial contribution is important because:

  1. Giving enables Destination to continue our God given mission in Chicago.
  2. Giving enables Destination to give at least 10% outside of ourselves.
  3. Giving enables Destination to serve the poor.
  4. Giving is a sign of spiritual maturity for each giver. Check out our FREE resource on financial stewardship.

1) Secure Online Giving

An online gift is a great way to give because it cannot be misplaced or stolen. Plus, it removes the challenge of remembering to bring your checkbook to church and complete a giving envelope. It’s so simple. Give securely today:

If you have any questions please email giving@destinationchurch.org.

2) Sunday Giving

Giving envelopes are provided on Sunday’s and can be used to give by cash, check or credit. We would strongly encourage you to only give using credit if you faithfully pay off your total bill each month. Please provide your contact info each time you use a giving envelope. If you are not prepared to give on Sunday, you can take the envelope home and mail it back with your gift. Please do not mail cash. We do not accept credit card information via mail.

3) Automated Giving (Preferred)

By setting up direct giving through your online banking (Auto-Pay/Bill-Pay), there are no transaction processing fees, so 100% of your giving is received. This is more beneficial than option one above which includes a fee up to 3%. Automated giving allows you to setup one-time or recurring gifts.

Each banks website is different. The following instructions are a general explanation of the process. If you have additional questions about how to set this up, please contact your bank.

  1. Log-in to your online banking. >> For example, www.usbank.com
  2. Select “Bill Pay.”
