Join us this Friday, April 20th at 7:30pm for a dynamic prayer gathering.

Prayer is an important value of ours and drives all that we do. Come and seek God as we exalt Him and listen for His voice. Prayer gatherings were common throughout the New Testament book of Acts. As His people, we must pursue His purposes with authenticity and call out for His power to accomplish His will through us.

Please join us whether its your first time at an event like this or you’ve been practicing authentic prayer for a long time — all are welcome.

There is no organized childcare at this time, but children are welcome and can participate in worship and prayer under their parents care.

When we desire authentic relationships, community begins to form, and when community forms around a shared vision, a bond is created that unites the community for a purpose greater than themselves. One of the unfortunate truths about western Christianity today is that most people don’t understand the purpose of the Church as the Bible defines it. Many believe that church is primarily a personal activity only for personal gain. The truth, however, is that purpose of the Church is much bigger than that! The Church is meant to be a community of people focused on Jesus, and that focus launches us, as a community, into a mission and purpose of making Jesus known throughout the world. The reality is that this community is an eternal community, and we want to learn now what it means to be a part of it!

Join us as we explore these truths in our “All In: Christ & His Community” teaching series. The series will focus on the book of Ephesians, and through that we’ll learn in-depth what it means to be in Christ and to be part of His community. Be sure not to miss this series as we learn the “manifold wisdom of God” expressed through His Church.

More people attend church on Easter Sunday than on any other day of the year. It’s an excellent opportunity to check out a church for the first time and be reminded of the message of Easter. It’s also a great opportunity to invite friends to church who you might not normally invite. At Destination Church, we want to make this Easter Sunday an enjoyable and meaningful experience for everyone who attends.

Our Easter Sunday service is also the kick off of our teaching series entitled, “All In: Christ & His Community.” The series will focus on the book of Ephesians, and in our Easter kickoff, we will focus on the ultimate purpose of life and how Jesus defines that purpose. Join us on Easter Sunday and learn what it means to have ultimate purpose!

Our lives are full of various challenges and trials. At different times we all feel busy, overwhelmed and anxious. But, the Bible calls us to tackle our difficulties head on and in a really simple way …

Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Join us this Friday at 7:30pm for an evening of prayer and thanksgiving. Let’s seek Gods will together, so we can be a bigger blessing in this city.

One of the most intriguing and confusing aspects of the Christian life is the use of Spiritual gifts in the church. Questions naturally arise such as, “What are Spiritual gifts all about? How do we know we’re meant to use them? Who is able to use them? Didn’t Spiritual gifts cease?” We desire to dissolve the confusion surrounding Spiritual gifts and bring clarity to their purpose and their use in the church. We’re going to explore 1 Corinthians 12 – 14 and learn what the scriptures say about Spiritual gifts.

Join us at Destination Church as we kick of our teaching series entitled, “Authenticity: The Heart of Spiritual Gifts.” If you desire to hear God in your life, then you’ll definitely want to check out Authenticity!

At Destination Church our passion is to build communities that are loyal to Jesus. A big part of seeing this come to life is through our small groups. We want to see our small groups help people learn more about God and grow in relationship with Him. No matter what you know about God today, He is calling you into a deeper relationship with Him.

A key ingredient to learning more about God is by authentically seeking Him. Destination Church doesn’t hold small groups to merely re-confirm everything a person already knows about God. We hold small groups to create an environment of learning and authentic seeking. You don’t need to know anything to join a small group. You simply have to have a desire to know God more.

In Matthew 7 Jesus speaks to a crowd and says, “ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Jesus is saying if you want to learn about God you must seek God. And if you seek God, He will reveal Himself to you. Conversely, you cannot discover something unless you seek it.

Joining a small group is a commitment to learn and a commitment to others. Through your small group you will build relationships with others and together discover God’s truths. It is an opportunity you don’t get everyday. It can even help you discover God’s plan for your life. What are you waiting for?

Have you ever felt there’s more to life than what you’re living? We’re not meant to live mediocre lives, but on some level we all struggle with being underwhelming and feeling inconsequential. But here’s the problem: On our own, we don’t really know how to break out of ruts. We don’t really know how to do more than “just get by.”

There’s a tendency to not make any changes, and dissatisfaction remains. Why do reasonable people think that doing the same things over and over will result in anything different? In fact, that’s one definition for insanity! The God of the Bible has more for us than just living an ordinary, run-of-the-mill life!

In Proverbs 13:4, God gives us a warning and a promise. He says, “The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.” In other words, God is the source of the extraordinary life we desire. Learn how to prioritize, gain focus, and live the disciplined life that God wants us to live.

This year we have decided to try something different. Rather than dragging everyone out of bed on New Years Day, we have decided to usher in 2012 together with a special one hour New Year’s Eve service.

We’d like to invite you to join us on December 31st from 5-6pm for an end of year celebration. This will be a much simpler service that should allow you plenty of time to get to your preferred New Years Eve destination. There will be play packets available for children and the cafeteria will be open if parents need a place to take their children.

Come join us as we seek God together and review what He has done at Destination in 2011. Happy New Year!
