At Destination Church our passion is to build communities that are loyal to Jesus. A big part of seeing this come to life is through our small groups. We want to see our small groups help people learn more about God and grow in relationship with Him. No matter what you know about God today, He is calling you into a deeper relationship with Him.

A key ingredient to learning more about God is by authentically seeking Him. Destination Church doesn’t hold small groups to merely re-confirm everything a person already knows about God. We hold small groups to create an environment of learning and authentic seeking. You don’t need to know anything to join a small group. You simply have to have a desire to know God more.

In Matthew 7 Jesus speaks to a crowd and says, “ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Jesus is saying if you want to learn about God you must seek God. And if you seek God, He will reveal Himself to you. Conversely, you cannot discover something unless you seek it.

Joining a small group is a commitment to learn and a commitment to others. Through your small group you will build relationships with others and together discover God’s truths. It is an opportunity you don’t get everyday. It can even help you discover God’s plan for your life. What are you waiting for?

Have you ever felt there’s more to life than what you’re living? We’re not meant to live mediocre lives, but on some level we all struggle with being underwhelming and feeling inconsequential. But here’s the problem: On our own, we don’t really know how to break out of ruts. We don’t really know how to do more than “just get by.”

There’s a tendency to not make any changes, and dissatisfaction remains. Why do reasonable people think that doing the same things over and over will result in anything different? In fact, that’s one definition for insanity! The God of the Bible has more for us than just living an ordinary, run-of-the-mill life!

In Proverbs 13:4, God gives us a warning and a promise. He says, “The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied.” In other words, God is the source of the extraordinary life we desire. Learn how to prioritize, gain focus, and live the disciplined life that God wants us to live.

This year we have decided to try something different. Rather than dragging everyone out of bed on New Years Day, we have decided to usher in 2012 together with a special one hour New Year’s Eve service.

We’d like to invite you to join us on December 31st from 5-6pm for an end of year celebration. This will be a much simpler service that should allow you plenty of time to get to your preferred New Years Eve destination. There will be play packets available for children and the cafeteria will be open if parents need a place to take their children.

Come join us as we seek God together and review what He has done at Destination in 2011. Happy New Year!

At Destination we like to give our dedicated volunteers the gift of a break during Christmas and everyone who belongs to the church a chance to be with their family and friends. Therefore, we will not be gathering on Christmas Day. We also like to encourage you to use this Christmas to serve those in need, however you can. It’s an important time to be especially generous.

Please join us on December 31 at 5pm for a special one hour New Years Eve service. This will be in place of our New Years Day service. If you didn’t catch that, we have no Christmas Day or New Years Day services. Please join us on Saturday December 31st for a simple end of year celebration.

Destination will return to it’s normal weekly Sunday 10:30am gathering on January 8, 2012.

We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

P.S. If you are a student or twenty-something, please consider joining us at the Mobilise Conference in January.

You are invited to Destination’s 2011 Christmas series: A CHILD IS BORN. Please join us for this two part series on December 11 & 18. Note that we are celebrating Christmas during this two week series and will not have a Christmas eve or day service.

We also have a special Baby Dedication during the December 11 service. This dedication is for parents that are regular attenders (attended 3 or more times) or members with children under 2 years old. The dedication will take place during our regular Sunday service and consist of a special time of prayer for each child. Dedication is a decision for each parent to entrust their child’s future to the Lord and pray over them for Gods blessing.

Please sign up each child you wish to dedicate (email subscribers click here). Parents will need to write a short prayer of dedication in order to participate. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and family to celebrate together. Sign up with this form.
